During the following years of 2021 and 2022, the members of O Norte began their PhD projects. All three architects investigate pathways in design education within architectural training. Bruno Lima is a doctoral candidate at MDU/UFPE, Chico Rocha is a doctoral candidate at FAU/UFBA, and Lula Marcondes completed his PhD at MDU/UFPE in 2025
